This painting goes to the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg today for the annual Instructor/Student exhibit, for the month of May. It’s amazing how much feedback I get on the subject matter. It seems almost everybody has taken the M line to Brooklyn at one time or another.
Having sold my previous large triptych at Studio@620’s Bob Devin Jones’ Director’s Choice exhibit, I was again faced with a big blank wall behind my bed with just two weeks before hosting an art party at my loft. That wall CAN’T be blank!
Everything I’ve ever hung in the space has sold so I’m now convinced that it’s my magic spot. I wonder how long this new painting will hang before I have to get to work on another replacement.
The yellow areas are a collaboration between me and the track lights. I kind of like them, though. Hmmmm.
