An enhanced, framed giclee print sometimes does the job!

A beautiful giclee print for a beautiful home.

A beautiful giclee print for a beautiful home.

Nothing can compare to an original work, but with some over painting and texturizing by the artist, a scanned quality print, beautifully stitched together by a perfectionist printer/friend can come pretty darn close. Thank you Bradley Erickson of Grand Central Stained Glass and Graphics for your beautiful job. It hangs in Atlanta now in a beautiful home.

I painted myself back to “happy”.

I was aware of a slump in creative energy for the past few months and realized it coincided with my partner’s five hospital stays in the past year and a half and my post operative care when I took him home each time.

If forcing a smile tricks your body into thinking it’s happy, as some say, I wondered if painting a bright, cheerful subject matter could push me back toward happiness and renewed creativity. I began in one painting session when my partner was still not back to health and completed it in a following session when he was on his feet again.

It worked. I’m off to buy new canvases to capture┬áthe ideas┬áthat are coming. I’m happy.
